Capitec Bank Ltd is seeking a Software Test Analyst II to join its Group Treasury team in Stellenbosch. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to shape the future of payments and financial systems by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data and dashboards used for critical decision-making. You’ll collaborate with developers, business analysts, and architects in a lean Agile team, contributing to the design and testing of new systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings strong SQL and API testing skills, payments domain knowledge, and a proactive, analytical mindset. This is a high-impact role where your ideas and contributions will directly influence the bank’s financial infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and test new systems and processes
• Validate complex financial data and dashboards used by Treasury
• Perform API testing and use tools like Playwright or BrowserStack
• Apply SQL skills to support data validation and analysis
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous delivery practices
• Conduct impact analysis and ensure quality across the SDLC
• Track, report, and follow up on defects and testing outcomes
• Support automation initiatives and apply best practices in SQA
• Reinforce appropriate testing environments and timelines with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Grade 12 National Certificate or Vocational qualification
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing or Information Technology
• National Diploma in Information Technology is preferred
• 3–5 years of testing experience in an Agile environment
• Payments domain knowledge including EFT, debit check, RTGS, and international payments
• Proficiency in SQL is essential
• Experience with API testing and tools like Playwright or BrowserStack
• Understanding of SDLC and impact analysis
• Knowledge of software and hardware testing standards and SQA practices
• Experience in continuous delivery environments and test automation
• Familiarity with financial or banking systems
• ISTQB certification and cloud platform experience (AWS preferred) are advantageous
